What's it all about?

Transition Balingup is a local group of residents dedicated to working within our grassroots community to grow a more resilient and sustainable village. One that will thrive in this age of energy decline and climate change, and revive our desire to care for the earth, ourselves, and our community. We are homesteaders and townspeople, mothers and fathers, business owners and activists, planters and harvesters, cooks and eaters, builders and artists interested in creating a more beautiful, re-localised, regenerative community.

Education, research, and micro enterprise incubation through sharing of knowledge, equipment, facility, networks, and resources are key functions of Transition Balingup. What one can’t do by their self, we can certainly do as a community, AND we can enable others to do for themselves as a community.

Dilga's Whole Foods Coop: Local, Regional, Fair Trade Food Buying Cooperative

The GRUB Hub: Community Garden Group
